I’ve been doing some research on Cryptocurrencies lately and I was wondering about which one is currently the largest. By “largest”, I mean the one with the highest market capitalization. Market capitalization for a Cryptocurrency, as I understand it, is calculated by multiplying the total number of coins in circulation by the current price of one coin.
From what I’ve seen, Bitcoin seems to be the most popular Cryptocurrency. However, I know that popularity doesn’t necessarily equate to size in terms of market capitalization. I’ve also read about other Cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin, but I’m not certain as to how they stack up against Bitcoin or each other in terms of market capitalization.
Could anyone provide me with some definitive information on this topic? Which Cryptocurrency has the highest market cap as of now? And how do other popular Cryptocurrencies compare to the largest one in terms of market cap? Any sources where I can look up real-time market cap information of various Cryptocurrencies would also be appreciated.
