I’m researching the current state of the cryptocurrency market and I’ve come across many different coins in the process. Though I’ve learned about the major ones like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, I keep seeing unfamiliar names pop up. I’m starting to lose track of how many different types of cryptocurrency there actually are, so I was hoping someone might know the exact number.
Additionally, I can’t tell if every cryptocurrency I come across is a separate type, or if some are simply variations of existing ones. Does the number of cryptocurrencies include only unique types, or does it also encompass all different variations? I’m a little confused on this point, so any clarification would be appreciated.
Lastly, is there a single source that keeps track of all these different forms of cryptocurrency? I’d like to find a source where I can get a comprehensive overview of all the different types of cryptocurrency that exist. This would really help me out in my research.
