I recently opened a blockchain wallet account, but I’m struggling to locate my account number. I’m new to this scene, so it’s quite confusing for me. I have already set-up an account and have logged in successfully. However, I didn’t quite pay attention to where my wallet’s account number was displayed or if it was pointed out to me during the process.
I need instructions on how to locate my Blockchain wallet account number from within my logged-in Dashboard or elsewhere if necessary. Is it called something specific other than “account number”? I’m willing to follow all the steps recommended by the user community here to learn more about my cryptocurrency journey.
Sure, in the blockchain wallet, it’s not referred to as an “account number”. It’s called an address or a public key, and each Blockchain wallet has a unique one. Once you’ve signed in to your account, from the left side panel, click on “Request”. After that, you will see a long series of letters and numbers. This is your Blockchain wallet address, equivalent to an account number in traditional banking. This address is what you give to others when you want to receive cryptocurrency payments. Just make sure you don’t share your private key the same way you share your address. Unlike the address, the private key provides full access to your wallet, and whoever has it can withdraw your funds. Also, remember your wallet address can change, but you can still use the old one.
